The couple and their love of soap grew. At first, the couple thought their shared passion was strictly soap,. However the young "soap couple" grew enchanted when they one day stumbled across a series of paintings created by the Pears soap company - many of the paintings were from the 1800’s. The couple was fascinated to find that "soap art" was a category of its own. Soap companies of the past often released limited edition posters, paintings,and other art forms to help advertise and promote their brand. The relics of soap's art historic past are phenomenally beautiful, old fashioned, classic, mesmerizing and span centuries into our past.
When the domain name, www.giftsoap.com, was put into a private auction in the early 2000's, the man whom had fallen in love with the young woman and the world of soap, sprung at the opportunity to invest a sizable fortune into the domain name. After about 2 hours of bidding that included great interest from many large soap companies around the world, the passionate man secured ownership of the domain name that would forge a brand that would marry his love of soap, art, and the woman who captured his heart.
Gift Soap's mission is to provide the world with an online destination to procure elegant gift soaps from around the world. Its second mission is to feature and facilitate trade among great works of art that feature soap.
